Vacation Time Blues Part 2

Hi all. SNBM back again. I'm up and ready to tell all how my trip up north has gone.

First things first, I started this trip with the idea of going to the beach this past spring, however, when that fell through, I got a call from my oldest brother. We hadn't seen each other in forever and so, I decided to go up there and see him. You're probably wondering where up there is. "Up there" is North Carolina. I have lived there off and on for many, many years. A lot of my family lives there, too.

This trip started off a 2 AM with me getting up and out of bed, so I could get to the airport by 3:30 and then wait till 4:30 to even get to the terminal I needed, so I could board my plane. From there I went to first visit my...best female friend who lives in the pan handle of Florida.

I had a good time and all, but I didn't really DO anything and we didn't even really talk. It was like being at home, except with even LESS to do. We finally went to a mall on the Saturday before I left where I bought some very nice things and went on a mini-shopping spree. I ended this trip on that Monday and boarded my next plane which took me to North Carolina.

My dad lives in NC and had picked me up. As a side note, I am SO happy to be HOME! Me and my dad are so different and have such different views and beliefs that we really didn't have anything to talk about. We talked about the past. I got everything off of my chest about how felt when him and my mom split. I quit talking about with him when he couldn't take responsibility for anything he did, talked about my mom while at the same time asking if she'd take his sorry butt back, and acted worse than a five year old most of the time.

Me and my brother got to hang out and realized that we have a lot of the same types of things in common. It was nice to see him and meet the woman in his life who accepts him for himself and makes him happy. They are SO in love. It was very good to see.

I also got to see a lot of my cousins, my aunts and uncle, and one of my sisters. They were refreshing, so to speak, to be around. It has been a while since I've really seen that side of the family, so I was happy to see everybody there.

This whole trip ended with me getting on my last plane and getting home. I was SO happy to get home. I had missed everyone down here. "Down here" is Florida which for now is home. IT IS GOOD TO BE HOME!

Movie Time

Hello all. SNBM here again and doing well. Today I wanted to talk about a few new movies that I got to see while on my vacation the last three weeks. Firstly, while up at my friend's place I got to see several good movies, and (to me anyway) they were new. The first was "Letters to Juliet". This is about a couple who go on a pre-honeymoon as they both lead busy lives and wanted to celebrate their honeymoon without too much interruption. They end up spending a lot of time apart and doing their own thing. The leading lady ends helping a woman find her old love by helping these ladies who call themselves the Secretaries of Juliet. It's a romance film with a little comedy and some angst parts thrown in. Next, and I KNOW this one isn't new at ALL, but as I stated before: to me it is new, so I got to see the original "Halloween". Movie Time Part II

Hey, everyone. SNBM here, again. Last time I was telling ya'll about the movies that I watched while I was on vacation. Well, here's part II or, as I call it, Part NC. These are the movies that I saw while I was up in North Carolina. Well, let's start off with a good movie that I finally got to see. "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" was an action packed movie with a little comedy and romance thrown in. I'm not certain who plays the leading guy, but, personally, I think he looks like Phil Brooks, or better known by CM Punk from the WWE. This guy, however seems more like how Punk used to be. Well, anyway, the movie was very good and worth watching. It is a definite recommended movie from me. Next up, I got to see "Hot Tub Time Machine". One word: HILARIOUS!!! This is just a side splitting comedy that just totally rocks. You have to see to believe it. I recommend watching this as many times as you can with as many people as you can. Everyone will ...
